  • An ambidirectional cohort study analyzed quarter-level data from 14,948 quarters of 3,913 Holstein cows.
  • Teat shape was visually classified into four categories: TP, SR, SRF, and SF.
  • A multivariable semiparametric proportional hazards model assessed the association between teat shape and the first clinical mastitis event within 305 days in milk.
