Treatment Option for Velopharyngeal Insufficiency: A Speech Aid

This study presents a novel obturator prosthesis for treating velopharyngeal (VP) incompetence caused by soft palate defects. The functional impression technique successfully improved speech in a patient with a congenital velopharyngeal defect.
