Summary

This study developed sustained-release ketoprofen tablets using surfactant-assisted wet granulation. The optimized formulation (MT2) improved bioavailability and maintained therapeutic drug levels for 24 hours, enabling once-daily dosing.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To enhance the solubility and bioavailability of ketoprofen.
  • To formulate and evaluate sustained-release matrix tablets (MT) using surfactant-assisted wet granulation (SAWG).

  • Prepared sustained-release matrix tablets using SAWG with varying concentrations of surfactants.

  • The study highlights the utility of Soluplus® in improving ketoprofen's biopharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic properties.
