    Background:

    • Conventional pulmonary artery banding carries a high mortality rate (up to 50%) due to fixed constriction.
    • Unstable patients are particularly at risk with existing surgical banding methods.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To develop and evaluate a percutaneously adjustable band for pulmonary artery banding.
    • To assess the safety and efficacy of this novel device in inducing controlled right ventricular hypertrophy.
