[A practical model to implement the patient participation in tertiary hospitals (ICE model)]

• The ICE-VH model, implemented from November 2021 to December 2023, comprises Information, Co-creation, and Strategy.
• Key components include an Association Attention Office (AAO), Easy Reading Commission (ERC), and Stable Work Commissions (SWC) with patient-professional collaboration.
• A Strategic Plan and Committee were established, resulting in 112 projects managed by the AAO, 41 documents evaluated by the ERC, and 42 objectives agreed upon in SWCs.

• The ICE-VH model is a proactive, replicable approach to enhance patient and professional participation in healthcare.
