  • Barriers to delirium care, moral sensitivity, academic qualifications, and clinical ladder level were significant predictors of core competency.
  • These factors collectively explained 18.1% of the variance in delirium care core competency.

  • Addressing perceived barriers and enhancing moral sensitivity are crucial for improving nurses' delirium care competency.
