Melanonychia striata longitudinalis: multiple benign pigmented streaks in a Caucasian
Abstract:
Melanonychia striata, longitudinalis, or a pigmented longitudinal melanocytic streak of the nail, is distinctly uncommon in white patients. Such a finding is highly suggestive of a malignant melanoma. Reported herein is the first case report of a Caucasian with multiple pigmented streaks of the nail, the biopsy of one nail showing a lentigo.
