Self-advancing silicone rubber splint for repair of split nail deformity
The Journal of Hand Surgery
|January 1, 1986
Abstract:
The self-advancing silicone rubber splint is a simple effective method used to cover the nail bed after primary repair of a split nail deformity. Presumably, the procedure will be effective for larger defects that require grafting of dermis or nail bed provided the lateral portion of intact nail is present for fixation.
