Summary

Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) experiencing sleep problems also show reduced moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and increased internalizing symptoms. Addressing sleep issues and promoting physical activity may help mitigate these challenges in children with ADHD.

  • Meeting physical activity guidelines may offer a protective effect against depression and anxiety in this population, warranting further research into interventions.
