Digital technologies can improve Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) care, but benefits must be weighed against risks. A new framework, CARES (Cognitive offloading, Automation, Remote monitoring, Emotional/social support, Symptom treatment), helps guide technology development for ADRD.
