Takayasu arteritis (TA) patients with tuberculosis (TB) infection, including latent TB infection (LTBI), show increased weight loss and a higher prevalence of aortic aneurysms and dilations, particularly in the abdominal aorta.

- Takayasu arteritis patients co-infected with tuberculosis exhibit a higher incidence of aortic dilations and aneurysms.
- The abdominal aorta is the most commonly affected site for these vascular abnormalities in TA patients with TB.
