PTH immunoassay interference: differential diagnosis with normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism?

Normocalcemic hyperparathyroidism diagnosis can be challenging due to immunoassay interference. Falsely elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels due to assay interference can lead to misdiagnosis and unnecessary treatments.
