Why is there no negativity bias in evaluative conditioning? A cognitive-ecological answer

Evaluative conditioning (EC) shows no negativity bias when positive and negative stimuli are equally frequent. However, rarity of either positive or negative stimuli can create valence biases, supporting a cognitive-ecological explanation.
