Safety of Beta-Blocker Administration in STEMI Patients With Risk Factors for Cardiogenic Shock

Early beta-blocker use in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients is not associated with increased cardiogenic shock risk. Higher peak troponin levels, however, significantly increase shock risk, regardless of beta-blocker administration.
