Summary

Unilateral multifocal papillary thyroid carcinoma (UMPTC) and bilateral multifocal papillary thyroid carcinoma (BMPTC) differ in recurrence risk. Patients with N1-BMPTCs, characterized by lesions on both thyroid lobes, exhibit higher recurrence rates and lower disease-free survival compared to UMPTC.
