Abstract:
We present a water-soluble fluorescence/MR dual-modality probe NBD[Gd] for H2S detection. It showed 88.4% of fluorescence quenching and a 36% reduction in r1 upon exposure to H2S. It is readily uptaken by cells to sense the endogenous H2S. Besides providing a bimodal H2S imaging probe, our study also confirms the high H2S level in CT26 cells and its functional consequence in promoting cell growth.
