Summary

Facial fractures from road traffic accidents are common, especially in young males, often linked to alcohol. Orbital fractures were most frequent, necessitating multidisciplinary care and preventive measures.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To identify clinical signs and radiological findings of maxillofacial fractures in RTA victims.
  • To analyze the demographic and etiological factors associated with these injuries.
  • To determine the patterns of associated injuries and required surgical interventions.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective review of medical records and CT scans of 100 RTA patients with facial fractures.
  • Data collected from 2021-2022 at Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences.

  • Effective management requires a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Preventive strategies, including adherence to traffic rules and avoiding alcohol, are vital.
