Purpose of the Study:

  • To examine the association between carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) severity and occupational biomechanical factors.
  • To evaluate the role of personal anthropometric risk factors in CTS development and severity.

Main Methods:

  • A case-control study design was employed, comparing 183 CTS cases with 445 controls.
  • CTS severity was classified using validated clinical and electrophysiological scales.
  • Logistic regression models, adjusted for covariates, assessed the relationship between blue-collar status, anthropometric indices, and CTS.
