Inhaled corticosteroids for COVID-19: a real-world data analysis on guideline adherence

Dutch GPs reduced inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) prescriptions for COVID-19 after a guideline update. While vulnerable patients maintained their prescription rate, less vulnerable patients received significantly fewer ICS prescriptions.

- Electronic health records are suitable for evaluating guideline adherence changes using interrupted time series analysis.
