Injuries Associated With Mandated Wear of Body Armor in Iraq

Wearing heavy ballistic body armor (BA) significantly increases musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and physical therapy needs in service members. This highlights the health risks associated with BA deployment, necessitating a review of its necessity.
