Summary

This study introduces a novel dataset augmentation algorithm for clinical named entity recognition (CNER) that enhances model performance by overcoming data scarcity and labeling challenges. The Segmentation Synonym Sentence Synthesis (SSSS) method improves CNER model accuracy without needing extensive manual annotation.
