  • 58 articles met inclusion criteria from over 32,000 initial results.
  • Five converged findings emerged: team members/point person, overcoming communication barriers, increasing concussion knowledge/training, classroom recommendations, and addressing the 'invisible injury'.
  • Data predominantly focused on high school (9-12) populations, with limited reporting on younger students (K-8).

Conclusions:

  • Converged findings highlight crucial elements for high school Return-to-Learn policies that should inform state legislation.
  • Further research is needed to appraise current state laws and gather data specific to younger students (K-8) to develop commensurate policy recommendations.
