Summary
Structural changes in sugar chains of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) are common in tumor hCGs from choriocarcinoma patients compared to pregnant women. These alterations stem from increased alpha-fucosyltransferase activity and the presence of N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase IV.
