Migraine patients show altered monocyte counts and peripheral inflammatory markers (PIMs), with specific ratios like lymphocyte/monocyte ratio (LMR) and platelet/monocyte ratio (PMR) having diagnostic value for migraine subtypes. These findings suggest systemic inflammation contributes to migraine pathogenesis.
