    Observation:

    • A case report of a 22-year-old Black man diagnosed with pernicious anemia is presented.
    • This presentation is atypical given the disease's classical demographic associations.
    • The majority of young patients (under 25) in the authors' experience were Black.

    Findings:

    • The study suggests pernicious anemia may manifest at a younger age in Black individuals.
    • While no overall racial incidence difference was found, a trend towards earlier onset in Black patients is noted.
    • The congenital form of pernicious anemia was not observed in the patient cohort.
