Abstract:
Cryoballoon ablations have an excellent safety profile. We present a case of a 58-year-old woman who experienced an unlikely complication of a cryoballoon breach resulting in massive gas emboli and transient hemodynamic compromise. Gas emboli are associated with high morbidity and mortality, and early recognition is essential to successful recovery.
