  • To compare mortality rates in a cohort during the pandemic versus a pre-pandemic historical cohort.

  • A multicenter prospective cohort study in 10 Colombian cities.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic led to increased early-mortality in pediatric solid tumors, particularly bone tumors and retinoblastoma.
  • Healthcare disruptions likely contributed to advanced-stage presentation and reduced treatment effectiveness.
  • Patients with public insurance represent a vulnerable group requiring targeted attention and support.
