    Background:

    • Work-related spinal cord injuries (SCI) represented 17.4% of admissions at Sunnybrook Medical Centre between 1974-1979.
    • This contrasts with a higher incidence (29.3%) in the earlier period of 1948-1973.
    • Industrial falls replaced construction accidents as the leading cause of work-related SCI.

    Purpose of the Study:
