Outcomes for Younger Patients with Femoral Neck Fractures

Intracapsular hip fracture fixation in young adults has a 23% failure rate, leading to poorer long-term function and quality of life. This study evaluated outcomes and associated factors in patients under 60.

- Approximately one in four young adult patients experience fixation failure after intracapsular hip fracture surgery.
- Fixation failure is linked to diminished long-term functional outcomes and health-related quality of life in this patient population.
