  • Turesky Modified Quigley Hein Plaque Index was employed, with data analyzed using Linear Models and Bonferroni Correction.

  • Plaque staining-guided digital imaging offers a viable alternative to visual evaluation for clinical dental plaque monitoring.
  • Intraoral scanners present a novel option for evaluating oral hygiene and can serve as an alternative to traditional clinical visual examinations in dental practice.
