  • Cross-sectional study including 60 CM patients and 30 asymptomatic participants.
  • Measured cervical and lumbar range of motion, strength, and endurance; assessed handgrip strength.
  • Utilized self-report measures for headache disability, kinesiophobia, pain behaviors, physical activity, and headache frequency.

  • Headache-related disability strongly correlated with headache frequency, activity avoidance, and rest, explaining 41% of the variance.

Conclusions:

  • Patients with chronic migraine demonstrate a generalized fitness deficit, extending beyond specific cervical dysfunction.
  • Findings support the hypothesis that migraines are associated with broader physical deconditioning and general body conditions, not solely neck-related issues.
