Capsaicin-induced secondary hyperalgesia differences between the trigeminal and spinal innervation

Topical capsaicin induced greater secondary hyperalgesia in the forearm (spinal innervation) compared to the masseter (trigeminal innervation). Capsaicin application to the masseter also reduced somatosensory function, unlike the forearm.
