Tissue-resident NK cells do their own glandscaping

Salivary gland tissue-resident natural killer (trNK) cells develop from conventional NK (cNK) cells, not ILC1 cells. TGF-β and IL-15 signaling promote their tissue residency and cytotoxic function.
