Summary

Viscoelastic testing (VET) parameters like clotting time (CT) and activated clotting time (ACT) do not accurately reflect thrombin generation. Prolonged CT or ACT should not trigger prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) administration for augmenting thrombin generation.
