Abstract:
This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. Figure 5 of this article contains three images which have been duplicated within the figure. One of these duplications has additionally been flipped and reflected. The editors also have serious concerns about the integrity of the FTIR trace in Fig. 2(d) of the article. The corresponding author was contacted for comment about these concerns but was unable to provide a suitable explanation. The Editors have therefore lost confidence in the reliability of the findings presented in this article as a whole. Furthermore, an unauthorised authorship change was made to this paper at Revision 1, with author Ashraf Elfasakhany being added to the paper. No explanation was given for this change, nor was it approved by the editor. This authorship change breaches the policies of the journal and as a result, the editors no longer have confidence in this paper and are retracting it. The journal apologises for not having identified the problematic authorship change during the review process and for any resulting inconvenience.
