To identify essential nursing leadership competencies from the perspective of Asian nurse leaders.
To provide recommendations for the future development of nursing leadership.
To address the limitations of Western-centric models in nursing leadership.

This paper is a discussion paper, synthesizing existing literature and expert perspectives.
It focuses on identifying key themes related to leadership competencies from Asian nurse leaders.
