Radiation exposure in patients with inflammatory bowel disease

Up to 5.5% of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients accumulate significant radiation exposure, reaching a cumulative effective dose (CED) of 75 mSv. While most imaging is appropriate, minimizing radiation is essential for IBD patient care.
