The obesity paradox may apply to patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Overweight individuals (BMI 25.0-29.9 kg/m² ) showed lower risks of adverse cardiovascular events post-PCI compared to normal weight individuals.
