Correlation between Left Ventricular Mass and Cardiac Troponin T in Cardiac Surgery

Postoperative cardiac troponin elevations after surgery are common. This study found no correlation between troponin levels and left ventricular mass index, complicating the diagnosis of type 5 myocardial infarction.
