Current cardiac biomarkers lack early predictive value for chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity. This review explores endothelin-1 (ET-1) and its peptide fragments (ELDP, CT-proET-1) as promising biomarkers for early detection of endothelial dysfunction and cardiotoxicity.
