Peripheral oxygen saturation levels as a guide to avoid hyperoxia: an observational study

Peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) guided oxygen titration frequently leads to hyperoxia in critically ill patients. Healthcare providers should carefully consider oxygen administration, especially low-flow oxygen, in patients without clear respiratory compromise to prevent hyperoxemia.
