Serum β-secretase 1 (sBACE1) activity in subjective cognitive decline: an exploratory study

Elevated serum beta-secretase-1 (BACE1) activity is found in individuals with subjective cognitive decline and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This suggests serum BACE1 activity may serve as an early blood biomarker for cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease risk.
