Summary

Transoral surgery (TOS) for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) is safe, with low complication rates. Smoking, diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class 3+ are key risk factors for adverse outcomes.
