Dual-Mechanism Gastroretentive Tablets with Encapsulated Gentian Root Extract

Gastroretentive tablets with gentian root extract were developed to improve gentiopicroside bioavailability. The mucoadhesive-floating system enhances local stomach action and ensures intestinal release, overcoming short half-life challenges.
