Visual patching of one eye produces changes in saccadic properties in the unseeing eye

When vision is blocked in one eye by means of a patch, a small change in saccadic magnitude as well as post saccadic drift develops exclusively in the unseeing eye. Subsequent unpatching restores normal function. Thus the saccadic system is capable of independently adjusting the command to each eye.
