Cardiac thrombus: can T1 and T2 mapping replace contrast enhanced images?

Cardiac thrombus detection is better with contrast-enhanced MRI images than with T1 and T2 mapping sequences. While mapping shows potential, contrast imaging remains superior for visualizing thrombus.
