Abstract:
Regular physical activity plays a crucial role in the prevention of chronic disease and the management of mental health disorders. Its integration into the care of individuals with mental health issues is fully justified, with clear benefits to involving trained physical activity professionals. The complexity associated with behavior change processes and the diversity of individuals' situations require specific skills that can be enhanced by the supervision of a psychiatrist. This supervision enriches the care provided and strengthens the confidence of specialists in adapted physical activity. The combination of expertise in physical activity and understanding of mental health issues helps optimize support for beneficiaries, guiding them toward a resumption of physical activity that is beneficial to their health.
