Nailing intertrochanteric fractures in geriatric population: Do we know it all?

This study shows that short nails with dynamic distal locking provide excellent outcomes for pertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients. Appropriate tip-to-apex distance and medial cortical support are key to minimizing complications like non-union and cut-out.
