Prostaglandin I2 partially inhibits human platelet aggregation stimulated by antithymocyte globulin

Antithymocyte globulin (ATG), which is used as an immunosuppressive agent in organ transplantation, has the side effect of inducing platelet aggregation. The present in vitro studies show that a component of ATG induced platelet aggregation can be inhibited by prostaglandin I2.
