Summary

Genetic variations in cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily C member 9 (CYP2C9) affect drug metabolism. This study found high frequencies of CYP2C9 *2 and *3 alleles in Syrians, indicating a need for pharmacogenetic implementation.
